Ìåòèíîâàÿ çâåçäà (CH-çâåçäà) â îñîáûé âèä óãëåðîäíûõ çâ¸çä, õàðàêòåðèçóþùèéñÿ íàëè÷èåì â ñïåêòðå ëèíèé ïîãëîùåíèÿ CH (ìåòèí èëè ìåòèëèäèí (àíãë.)) (416,4 íì). Âïåðâûå òàêèå çâ¸çäû áûëè âûäåëåíû â îòäåëüíóþ ãðóïïó Ô. Êèíàíîì â 1942.

Óñòàíîâëåíî, ÷òî ìíîãèå ìåòèíîâûå çâ¸çäû âõîäÿò â ñîñòàâ äâîéíûõ ñèñòåì è åñòü îñíîâàíèÿ ïîëàãàòü, ÷òî îíè âñå äâîéíûå. Ïîýòîìó âûäâèãàåòñÿ ãèïîòåçà, ÷òî ìåòèíîâûå çâ¸çäû, ïîäîáíî áàðèåâûì ïðåîáðàçèëèñü â ðåçóëüòàòå çàãðÿçíåíèÿ îò çâåçäû-ïàðòí¸ðà, áûâøåé êîãäà-òî óãëåðîäíîé çâåçäîé.
