Ìîâñǻñ Õîðåíàöè́, Ìîèñåé Õîðåíñêèé (àðì. Մովսէս Խորենացի) (òðàäèöèîííî ñ÷èòàåòñÿ[1], ÷òî ðîäèëñÿ îê. 410 è óìåð â 490 ãã (èëè â íà÷àëå VI âåêà[2][3][4]), âìåñòå ñ òåì ðÿä ó÷¸íûõ îòíîñèò ãîäû åãî æèçíè ê ïåðèîäó ìåæäó VII è IX ââ. âêëþ÷èòåëüíî)[1]) â êðóïíåéøèé àðìÿíñêèé ñðåäíåâåêîâûé èñòîðèê, àâòîð «Èñòîðèè Àðìåíèè», çà ñîçäàíèå êîòîðîé, íåñìîòðÿ íà ñóùåñòâîâàíèå áîëåå ðàííèõ èñòîðè÷åñêèõ òðóäîâ íà àðìÿíñêîì ÿçûêå, áûë íàçâàí «îòöîì àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèîãðàôèè»[5][6]. Íåêîòîðûå ó÷¸íûå îòìå÷àþò íàëè÷èå àíàõðîíèçìîâ â ðÿäå ñîáûòèé, îïèñûâàåìûõ â êíèãå.

Äîñòîâåðíûå ñâåäåíèÿ î æèçíè Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè îòñóòñòâóþò, åñëè íå ñ÷èòàòü ïðåäïîëàãàåìûå àâòîáèîãðàôè÷åñêèå ñâåäåíèÿ, ñîäåðæàùèåñÿ â «Èñòîðèè Àðìåíèè»[1].  íàó÷íûõ êðóãàõ ñïîð âîêðóã áèîãðàôèè Õîðåíàöè îêîí÷àòåëüíî íå ðåøåí[7][íåàâòîðèòåòíûé èñòî÷íèê? 347 äíåé].

Ïî ïðåäàíèþ Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè ðîäèëñÿ â Ñþíèêñêîé îáëàñòè, â äåðåâíå Õîðåí, âñëåäñòâèå ÷åãî è ïîëó÷èë ïðîçâèùå Õîðåíàöè[8]. Ñîãëàñíî Õîðåíàöè, ïåðâîíà÷àëüíîå îáðàçîâàíèå îí ïîëó÷èë â Ñþíèêå, â îñíîâàííîé ñîçäàòåëåì àðìÿíñêîãî àëôàâèòà Ìåñðîïîì Ìàøòîöåì øêîëå. Ïîñëå îêîí÷àíèÿ øêîëû â Âàãàðøàïàòå, ãäå Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè èçó÷àë ãðå÷åñêèé, ñèðèéñêèé è ïåõëåâèéñêèé (ñðåäíåïåðñèäñêèé) ÿçûêè, îí âìåñòå ñ äðóãèìè ó÷åíèêàìè áûë íàïðàâëåí äëÿ ïðîäîëæåíèÿ îáðàçîâàíèÿ çà ãðàíèöó, â èçâåñòíóþ ñâîèìè áèáëèîòåêàìè è àðõèâàìè Ýäåññó, à çàòåì â Àëåêñàíäðèþ, òîãäàøíèé öåíòð êóëüòóðû Ðèìñêîé èìïåðèè.  Àëåêñàíäðèè Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè ïîäðîáíî çíàêîìèëñÿ ñ íåîïëàòîíè÷åñêîé ôèëîñîôèåé.

Òðàäèöèîííî ñ÷èòàåòñÿ, ÷òî Õîðåíàöè æèë â V âåêå[7][1]. Ñîâðåìåííûå çàïàäíûå èñòîðèêè îñïàðèâàþò ýòî è îòíîñÿò äåÿòåëüíîñòü Õîðåíàöè ê ïðîìåæóòêó ìåæäó VII è IX âåêàìè[9][10]. Ïî ìíåíèþ Äýâèäà Ëýíãà, â êîíöå 1970-õ ãã. ýòîãî ìíåíèÿ ïðèäåðæèâàëèñü íåìíîãèå ó÷åíûå âíå Ñîâåòñêîé Àðìåíèè, õîòÿ â Åðåâàíå â òî âðåìÿ ñâåäåíèÿ, êîòîðûå èñòîðèê îñòàâèë î ñàìîì ñåáå, ïîääåðæèâàëèñü ñ ïàòðèîòè÷åñêèì ðâåíèåì[11].

Ëîðýòòà Òåð-Ìêðòè÷ÿí ïðåäïîëàãàåò, ÷òî ïðè÷èíîé òîãî, ÷òî êðóïíåéøèå ó÷åíûå îòíîñÿò Õîðåíàöè ê áîëåå ïîçäíåìó âðåìåíè, ìîãëî ïîñëóæèòü òî îáñòîÿòåëüñòâî, ÷òî ðÿä óïîìèíàåìûõ â «Èñòîðèè Àðìåíèè» òîïîíèìîâ è èñòîðè÷åñêèõ ñîáûòèé áîëåå ïîçäíåãî âðåìåíè ÿâëÿþòñÿ èíòåðïîëÿöèÿìè â ïîçäíåéøèìè âñòàâêàìè. Ñîãëàñíî åé æå, åùå â íà÷àëå XX âåêà àíãëèéñêèé àðìåíèñò Êîíèáåð, à â 1940 ãîäó àêàäåìèê Ñò. Ìàëõàñÿíö îïðîâåðãëè äîâîäû î áîëåå ïîçäíåì ïðîèñõîæäåíèè Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè. Íà ïðîøåäøåé â 1986 ãîäó ìåæäóíàðîäíîé êîíôåðåíöèè ïî ñðåäíåâåêîâîé àðìÿíñêîé ëèòåðàòóðå ñ äîêëàäîì «Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè è åãî âðåìÿ»' âûñòóïèë À. Â. Ìóøåãÿí, êîòîðûé, ïî ìíåíèþ Ëîðýòòû Òåð-Ìêðòè÷ÿí, äîêàçàë, ÷òî Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè ïðèíàäëåæèò V âåêó[12][íåàâòîðèòåòíûé èñòî÷íèê? 347 äíåé].

Íåñìîòðÿ íà òî, ÷òî íå âñå äîâîäû êðèòèêîâ îïðîâåðãíóòû, íûíå ãîñïîäñòâóåò òðàäèöèîííàÿ òî÷êà çðåíèÿ, ñîãëàñíî êîòîðîé Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè æèë â V âåêå[7][íåàâòîðèòåòíûé èñòî÷íèê? 347 äíåé][13]. Ïðè ýòîì áîëüøèíñòâîì ó÷åíûõ îòâåðãàþòñÿ ñâåäåíèÿ, ñîãëàñíî êîòîðûì Õîðåíàöè áûë ó÷åíèêîì Ìåñðîïà Ìàøòîöà è ãëàâíîå ñâîå ñî÷èíåíèå íàïèñàë ïî ïðîñüáå êíÿçÿ Ñààêà Áàãðàòóíè[1].

«Èñòîðèÿ Àðìåíèè» Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè îõâàòûâàåò ïåðèîä ñî âðåì¸í îáðàçîâàíèÿ àðìÿíñêîãî íàðîäà äî óêàçàííîãî â êíèãå âðåìåíè æèçíè àâòîðà â V âåêà í. ý. â è ÿâëÿåòñÿ ïåðâûì öåëüíûì èçëîæåíèåì èñòîðèè Äðåâíåé Àðìåíèè. Îíà ñîäåðæèò áîãàòåéøèé è óíèêàëüíûé ìàòåðèàë ïî äðåâíåàðìÿíñêîé ìèôîëîãèè, íàðîäíîìó òâîð÷åñòâó, ÿçû÷åñêîé ðåëèãèè, âíóòðåííåé æèçíè ñòðàíû è å¸ ñâÿçÿì ñ ìèðîì.  íåé èìåþòñÿ òàêæå ìíîãî÷èñëåííûå äàííûå ïî èñòîðèè è êóëüòóðå ñîïðåäåëüíûõ ñòðàí.  êíèãå ïðîÿâëÿåòñÿ êðèòè÷åñêîå îòíîøåíèå àâòîðà ê èíûì èñòî÷íèêàì; îí îòëè÷àåòñÿ èñêëþ÷èòåëüíûìè ëèòåðàòóðíûìè äîñòîèíñòâàìè â ãàðìîíè÷íîñòüþ ñòðóêòóðû, ÿðêîñòüþ îïèñàíèÿ äåÿòåëåé è ñîáûòèé, îáðàçíîñòüþ è ëàêîíè÷íîñòüþ ÿçûêà. Òðóä Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè îêàçàë îãðîìíîå âëèÿíèå íà àðìÿíñêóþ èñòîðèîãðàôèþ.

«Èñòîðèÿ Àðìåíèè» ñîñòîèò èç ñëåäóþùèõ òðåõ ÷àñòåé:

  • «Ðîäîñëîâèå Âåëèêîé Àðìåíèè» â èñòîðèÿ Àðìåíèè îò å¸ íà÷àëà äî îñíîâàíèÿ äèíàñòèè Àðøàêèäîâ (149 äî í. ý.);
  • «Èçëîæåíèå ñðåäíåé èñòîðèè íàøèõ ïðåäêîâ» â ïðîäîëæåíèå èñòîðèè îò 149 ã. äî í. ý. äî ñìåðòè ñâ. Ãðèãîðèÿ Ïðîñâåòèòåëÿ;
  • «Çàêëþ÷åíèå èñòîðèè íàøåãî îòå÷åñòâà» â äî ïàäåíèÿ äèíàñòèè Àðøàêèäîâ (428 ã. í. ý.)

Ìîâñåñó Õîðåíàöè ïðèïèñûâàþò ñëåäóþùèå ñî÷èíåíèÿ:

  • «Ðèòîðèêà»;
  • «Ãåîãðàôèÿ» (ýòî ñî÷èíåíèå ÷àùå ïðèïèñûâàþò Àíàíèè Øèðàêàöè);
  • «Ïîó÷åíèå î Ïðåîáðàæåíèè Õðèñòà»;
  • «Ðå÷ü î ñâ. ìó÷åíèöå äåâå Ðèïñèìèè»;
  • Áîãîñëóæåáíûå ãèìíû è ïåñíîïåíèÿ Àðìÿíñêîé Öåðêâè;
  • «Êîììåíòàðèè ê àðìÿíñêîé ãðàììàòèêå» è äð.

Ïåðâîå ïå÷àòíîå èçäàíèå, Àìñòåðäàì, 1695 ãîä

Àìåðèêàíñêèé èñòîðèê Ðè÷àðä Îâàíèñÿí îòìå÷àåò, ÷òî «Èñòîðèÿ Àðìåíèè» ÿâëÿåòñÿ ñàìûì ïîëíûì è â òî æå âðåìÿ ñàìûì ïðîòèâîðå÷èâûì òðóäîì â ðàííåé àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèîãðàôèè[9]. Ðè÷àðä Îâàíèñÿí óêàçûâàåò íà ñëåäóþùèå ïðîòèâîðå÷èÿ â òðóäå Õîðåíàöè[9]:

  • Õîðåíàöè ïèøåò, ÷òî ïàäåíèå ìîíàðõèè Àðøàêèäîâ ïîñëåäîâàëî çà ñìåðòüþ Ìåñðîïà Ìàøòîöà (óìåð â 440 ãîäó) è ïàòðèàðõà Ñààêà (óìåð â 439 ã.), õîòÿ ïàäåíèå ïðîèçîøëî ðàíüøå, â 428 ãîäó.
  • Õîðåíàöè ïèøåò î ëþäÿõ è ìåñòàõ, èçâåñòíûõ òîëüêî â 6-7 âåêå è ññûëàåòñÿ íà èñòî÷íèêè, êîòîðûå áûëè íåäîñòóïíû íà àðìÿíñêîì â 5 âåêå.
  • Õîðåíàöè èñêàæàåò èñòî÷íèêè ñ öåëüþ âîñõâàëåíèÿ ñâîèõ ïîêðîâèòåëåé â Áàãðàòóíè, êîòîðûå âîçâûñèëèñü â 8 âåêå.
  • Íà Õîðåíàöè íåò ññûëîê â èñòî÷íèêàõ ðàíåå 10 âåêà.

Áûâøèé ãëàâà êàôåäðû àðìÿíñêèõ èññëåäîâàíèé Ãàðâàðäñêîãî óíèâåðñèòåòà ïðîôåññîð Ðîáåðò Òîìñîí, êîòîðûé ÿâëÿåòñÿ àâòîðîì àíãëèéñêîãî ïåðåâîäà «Èñòîðèè» Õîðåíàöè, óêàçûâàåò íà ñëåäóþùèå àíàõðîíèçìû â ðàáîòå Õîðåíàöè, êîòîðûå íå ïîçâîëÿþò äàòèðîâàòü ýòó ðàáîòó V âåêîì:

  • Ìîâñåñ áûë ïåðâûì àðìÿíñêèì ïèñàòåëåì, èäåíòèôèöèðîâàâøèì Ñþíèê ñ Ñèñàêàíîì. Ïîñëåäíèé òåðìèí âïåðâûå âñòðå÷àåòñÿ â ñèðèéñêîì èñòî÷íèêå VI âåêà, â Àðìÿíñêîé Ãåîãðàôèè VII âåêà í. ý. îí îáîçíà÷àåò îêðóã, à íå âñþ ïðîâèíöèþ.
  • Ìîâñåñ íàçûâàåò Âàñïóðàêàíîì òåððèòîðèþ ê âîñòîêó îò îçåðà Âàí. Ýòîò òåðìèí ñòàë èñïîëüçîâàòüñÿ ïîñëå ðàçäåëà Àðìåíèè â 591 ãîäó í. ý.
  • Ìîâñåñ óïîìèíàåò õàçàð, íå óïîìèíàåìûõ â äðóãèõ àðìÿíñêèõ èñòî÷íèêàõ äî «Àðìÿíñêîé Ãåîãðàôèè» VII âåêà í. ý.
  • Ìîâñåñó èçâåñòíî î ïðîäâèæåíèè èðàíöåâ â Âèôèíèþ. Èðàíöû ïðîäâèíóëèñü òàê äàëåêî íà çàïàä òîëüêî âî âðåìÿ âîéíû 604â629 ãã. í. ý.
  • Ìîâñåñ óïîìèíàåò äîëæíîñòè â âèçàíòèéñêîé Àðìåíèè, êîòîðûå áûëè ó÷ðåæäåíû òîëüêî ïîñëå ïîáåäû èìïåðàòîðà Èðàêëèÿ I íàä ïåðñàìè â 629 ãîäó í. ý.[14]

Áîëåå òîãî, Ðîáåðò Òîìñîí íàçûâàåò Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè ïîëèòè÷åñêè àíãàæèðîâàííûì è îáñëóæèâàþùèì ñâîåãî ïîêðîâèòåëÿ ìèñòèôèêàòîðîì, ìàíèïóëèðóþùèì èñòî÷íèêàìè è ôàëüñèôèöèðóþùèì èñòîðèþ Àðìåíèè.

Ïåðâûå ññûëêè íà ðàáîòó Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè ñîäåðæàòñÿ â ðàáîòå Îâàíåñà Äðàñõàíàêåðòöè Õ âåêà. Åäèíñòâåííî âîçìîæíîå óïîìèíàíèå Ìîâñåñà Õîðåíàöè â áîëåå ðàííåé ëèòåðàòóðå ìîæåò áûòü â ïèñüìå, ïðèïèñûâàåìîì Ëàçàðþ Ïàðïåöè, ïèñàâøåìó îêîëî 500 ãîäà í. ý. Îí óïîìèíàåò óìåðøåãî ê òîìó âðåìåíè «ôèëîñîôà» Ìîâñåñà, ÷üè ñëîâà «ðàñïðîñòðàíÿëè íåâåæåñòâî» è êîòîðûé íàâëåê íà ñåáÿ ãíåâ ìîíàõîâ è áûë èçãíàí, êàê è ñàì Ëàçàðü. Îäíàêî â ðàáîòå Ëàçàðÿ íå óïîìèíàåòñÿ, ÷òî ýòîò Ìîâñåñ ñîçäàâàë êàêèå-ëèáî èñòîðè÷åñêèå òðóäû. Èñòîðèê ïî èìåíè Ìîâñåñ íåèçâåñòåí â àðìÿíñêîé ëèòåðàòóðå äî Õ âåêà[14].

Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè òàêæå èçâåñòåí êàê ïîýò, ñî÷èíèòåëü ãèìíîâ è êàê ãðàììàòèê.

[ïðàâèòü] Îòíîøåíèå ê Ìîâñåñó Õîðåíàöè â Àðìåíèè

Èíîñòðàííûå ó÷åíûå, ñòàâÿùèå ïîä ñîìíåíèå êàíîíè÷åñêóþ àðìÿíñêóþ èñòîðèîãðàôèþ, ïîäâåðãàëèñü æåñòîêîé êðèòèêå ñî ñòîðîíû ñîâåòñêèõ àðìÿíñêèõ èñòîðèêîâ. Ðîíàëüä Ñóíè â êà÷åñòâå ïðèìåðà òàêèõ «íàöèîíàëèñòè÷åñêèõ âûïàäîâ» ïðèâîäèò àòàêó íà Ðîáåðòà Òîìñîíà, ñòàâÿùåãî ïîä ñîìíåíèå ñâåäåíèÿ î Õîðåíàöè.[15]

    Traditionally believed to have lived in the 5th century, Moses has also been dated as late as the 9th century. Nothing is known of his life apart from alleged autobiographical details contained in the History of Armenia, which bears his name as author. His claims to have been the disciple of Isaac the Great (Sahak) and Mesrop Mashtots, to have studied in Edessa and Alexandria after the Council of Edessa (431), and to have been commissioned to write his History by the governor Sahak Bagratuni, have been rejected by most serious scholars, in large part because of anachronisms in his text. His work, however, is a valuable record of earlier religious tradition in pre-Christian Armenia.

    Õîðåíàöè çàñëóæåííî ñ÷èòàåòñÿ îòöîì àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèîãðàôèè, õîòÿ õðîíîëîãè÷åñêè àðìÿíñêàÿ èñòîðèîãðàôèÿ íå íà÷èíàåòñÿ ñ «Èñòîðèè Àðìåíèè» Xîðåíàöè. Îäíàêî åãî çàñëóãà çàêëþ÷àåòñÿ â òîì, ÷òî îí âïåðâûå â Àðìåíèè ïîëîæèë íà÷àëî íàó÷íîé èñòîðèè.

    Îäíèì èç èíòåðåñíåéøèõ, íî â òî æå âðåìÿ è ñëîæíåéøèõ èñòî÷íèêîâ ïî èñòîðèè Àðìåíèè è ñîïðåäåëüíûõ ñòðàí ÿâëÿåòñÿ çíàìåíèòàÿ «Èñòîðèÿ Àðìåíèè» Ìîâñåñà Xîðåíàöè. È ïî ñâîåé ñòðóêòóðå, è ïî ñîäåðæàíèþ ýòîò òðóä âûäåëÿåòñÿ èç âñåé ðàííåñðåäíåâåêîâîé àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèîãðàôèè. Òðóä Xîðåíàöè î÷åíü ðàíî ñòàë îäíèì èç íàèáîëåå ÷èòàåìûõ â àðìÿíñêîé êóëüòóðíîé ñðåäå ïðîèçâåäåíèé, à ñàì àâòîð ïî àíàëîãèè ñ Ãåðîäîòîì óäîñòîèëñÿ ïî÷¸òíîãî ïðîçâèùà «îòåö àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèè». È ýòî íå ñëó÷àéíî. Õîòÿ ñî÷èíåíèå Õîðåíàöè íå ïåðâûé ïî âðåìåíè ñîñòàâëåíèÿ èñòîðè÷åñêèé òðóä íà àðìÿíñêîì ÿçûêå, òåì íå ìåíåå îí çàíèìàåò â àðìÿíñêîé èñòîðèîãðàôèè èñêëþ÷èòåëüíîå ìåñòî.

    Íî ñàìûì èçâåñòíûì èç äðåâíåéøèõ àðìÿíñêèõ èñòîðèêîâ ÿâëÿåòñÿ Ìîèñåé Õîðåíñêèé. Ïî ïðåäàíèþ, Ìîèñåé ðîäèëñÿ â 370 ã. í. ý. â ñåëåíèè Õîðåí, âñëåäñòâèå ÷åãî è ïîëó÷èë ïðîçâèùå Õîðåíñêîãî (Õîðåíàöè). Îí áûë õîðîøî îáðàçîâàí è â þíîñòè ïîáûâàë â Ýäåññå (Ñèðèÿ), Àëåêñàíäðèè (Åãèïåò) è Àôèíàõ. Ïî ïðåäàíèþ, îäèí âëàäåòåëüíûé êíÿçü Àðìåíèè ïðåäëîæèë åìó íàïèñàòü èñòîðèþ Àðìåíèè.     Movses claims to have been a pupil of Mashtotsâ™s, and he ends his work with a long lament on the evil days that befell Armenia following the deaths of Mashtots and of the patriarch Sahak and the abolition of the Arsacid monarchy (which had occurred earlier, in 428). On the other hand, there are indications in the book itself that it was written after the fifth century. Not only does Movses use sources not available in Armenian at that time, he refers to persons and places attested only in the sixth or seventh centuries. Furthermore, he alters many of his Armenian sources in a tendentious manner in order to extol his patrons, the Bagratuni family, who gained preeminence in the eighth century. But despite the fact that Movses Khorenatsi is not known or quoted by sources before the tenth century, he became revered in tradition as the "father of history, patmahayrand elaborate legends about his life, his other writings, and his association with Mashtotsâ™s other pupils gained credence after the year 1000.

    Moses of Xoren (Arm: Movses Xorenacâ™i) was an author of the 5th century to whom is also attributed a History of Armenia. Internal evidence reveals both the Geography and the History to have been written much later, the Geography in the 7th century and the History in, probably, the late 8th.     The reassignment of Moses Khorenatsâ™i from the fifth to the eighth century was mooted as early as the 1890â™s by A. Carriere; Professor C. Toumanoff summarizes the evidence in the journal Handes Amsorya, Vol. 75, 1961, cols. 467-76. Few if any scholars outside Soviet Armenia continue to defend the old fifth century dating, though in Erevan the venerable chroniclerâ™s discredited account of himself is still upheld with patriotic zeal.

Îí óáåäèòåëüíî äîêàçàë, ÷òî «Ìîâñåñ Õîðåíàöè ïðèíàäëåæèò V âåêó è ÷òî ñîçäàííîå èì êëàññè÷åñêîå ïðîèçâåäåíèå â ïðîäóêò ýòîãî, ñòîëü ïåðåëîìíîãî äëÿ ñóäåá àðìÿíñêîãî íàðîäà èñòîðè÷åñêîãî ïåðèîäà».

    The nationalist thrust of Soviet Armenian historiography extended into a fierce critique of foreign historians who attempted to question sacred assumptions in the canonical version of Armenian history. The holder of the chair in Armenian studies at Harvard University, Robert Thomson, had the temerity to assert that Movses Khorenatsi, whom Armenian historians had claimed as a fifth-century author, was actually an eighth-century writer with a clear political agenda that served his dynastic master. He went on to call him «an audacious and mendacious faker». «A mystifier of the first order», Movses «quotes sources at second hand as if he had read the original; he invents archives to lend the credence of the written word to oral tradition or to his own inventions; he rewrites Armenian history in a completely fictitious manner, as in his adaptations of Josephusâ. Whoever Mo[v]ses was, he was not only learned but clever. His protestations of strict methodology were intended to deceive, to divert critical attention, and to encourage acceptance of his own tendentious narrative.» Soviet Armenian scholars bitterly attacked Thomsonâ™s dating of Khorenatsi and his characterization of the author. In a sense, a foreigner had tampered with the soul of the nation.
