Kinect[1] (ðàíåå Project Natal) â èãðîâîé «êîíòðîëëåð áåç êîíòðîëëåðà» ïåðâîíà÷àëüíî ïðåäñòàâëåííûé äëÿ êîíñîëè Xbox 360, è çíà÷èòåëüíî ïîçäíåå äëÿ ïåðñîíàëüíûõ êîìïüþòåðîâ ïîä óïðàâëåíèåì ÎÑ Windows. Ðàçðàáîòàí ôèðìîé Microsoft. Îñíîâàííûé íà äîáàâëåíèè ïåðèôåðèéíîãî óñòðîéñòâà ê èãðîâîé ïðèñòàâêå Xbox 360. Kinect ïîçâîëÿåò ïîëüçîâàòåëþ âçàèìîäåéñòâîâàòü ñ íåé áåç ïîìîùè èãðîâîãî êîíòðîëëåðà ÷åðåç óñòíûå êîìàíäû[2], ïîçû òåëà è ïîêàçûâàåìûå îáúåêòû èëè ðèñóíêè. Öåëü ïðîåêòà â óâåëè÷èòü ÷èñëî ïîëüçîâàòåëåé Xbox 360. Kinect äëÿ êîíñîëè Xbox áûë âïåðâûå ïðåäñòàâëåí 1 èþíÿ 2009 ã. íà âûñòàâêå E³.  òîò æå äåíü ôèðìà Ìàéêðîñîôò ðàçîñëàëà ðàçðàáîò÷èêàì ïðîãðàìì áîëåå 1000 êîìïëåêòîâ ñðåäñòâ ðàçðàáîòêè Kinect. Âûøåë äëÿ êîíñîëè 4 íîÿáðÿ 2010 ãîäà â ÑØÀ è 10 íîÿáðÿ â Åâðîïå. Ïîñòàâêè âåðñèè äëÿ Windows áûëè íà÷àòû 1 ôåâðàëÿ 2012 ãîäà[3].

Ìàéêðîñîôò ïðîäåìîíñòðèðîâàë íåñêîëüêî ïðèìåíåíèé òåõíîëîãèè íà E³ âûñòàâêå 2009 ã[4].
- Ðèêîøåò â Breakout-ïîäîáíàÿ èãðà, â êîòîðîé èñïîëüçóåòñÿ âñ¸ òåëî äëÿ îòáèâàíèÿ ìÿ÷åé ðàçáèâàþùèõ áëîêè.
- Paint Party â â êîòîðîé èãðîê ìîæåò ðàçáðàñûâàòü êðàñêó íà ñòåíó. Èãðîê ìîæåò âûáèðàòü öâåò ãîëîñîì è èñïîëüçîâàòü ïîçû òåëà äëÿ ñîçäàíèÿ òðàôàðåòîâ.
Kinect â ýòî ãîðèçîíòàëüíî ðàñïîëîæåííàÿ êîðîáêà íà íåáîëüøîì êðóãëîì îñíîâàíèè, êîòîðóþ ïîìåùàþò âûøå èëè íèæå ýêðàíà[5]. Ðàçìåðû â ïðèìåðíî 23 ñì â äëèíó è 4 ñì â âûñîòó. Ñîñòîèò èç äâóõ ñåíñîðîâ ãëóáèíû, öâåòíîé âèäåîêàìåðû è ìèêðîôîííîé ðåøåòêè. Ïðîïðèåòàðíîå ïðîãðàììíîå îáåñïå÷åíèå îñóùåñòâëÿåò ïîëíîå 3-õ ìåðíîå ðàñïîçíàâàíèå äâèæåíèé òåëà, ìèìèêè ëèöà è ãîëîñà. Ìèêðîôîííàÿ ðåøåòêà ïîçâîëÿåò Xbox 360 ïðîèçâîäèòü ëîêàëèçàöèþ èñòî÷íèêà çâóêà è ïîäàâëåíèå øóìîâ, ÷òî äàåò âîçìîæíîñòü ãîâîðèòü áåç íàóøíèêîâ è ìèêðîôîíà Xbox Live[6].
Äàò÷èê ãëóáèíû ñîñòîèò èç èíôðàêðàñíîãî ïðîåêòîðà, îáúåäèíåííîãî ñ ìîíîõðîìíîé ÊÌÎÏ-ìàòðèöåé, ÷òî ïîçâîëÿåò äàò÷èêó Kinect ïîëó÷àòü òð¸õìåðíîå èçîáðàæåíèå ïðè ëþáîì åñòåñòâåííîì îñâåùåíèè[6].
Äèàïàçîí ãëóáèíû è ïðîãðàììà ïðîåêòà ïîçâîëÿåò àâòîìàòè÷åñêè êàëèáðîâàòü äàò÷èê ñ ó÷¸òîì óñëîâèé èãðû è îêðóæàþùèõ óñëîâèé, íàïðèìåð ìåáåëè, íàõîäÿùåéñÿ â êîìíàòå[7].
Ñóäÿ ïî íåäàâíåìó ïàòåíòó Microsoft, Kinect áóäåò ñïîñîáåí ðàñïîçíàâàòü ÿçûê æåñòîâ. Ïîêà ïàòåíò êàñàåòñÿ òîëüêî ASL, íî, âîçìîæíî, äðóãèå ÿçûêè áóäóò äîáàâëåíû ïîçæå. Îæèäàåòñÿ, ÷òî ýòî ðàñøèðèò àóäèòîðèþ ïîëüçîâàòåëåé è ïîìîæåò îáó÷àòü íåìûõ ÿçûêó æåñòîâ.[8] Îäíàêî, ñîãëàñíî îôèöèàëüíîìó êîììåíòàðèþ [9], ýòà îñîáåííîñòü íå áóäåò âêëþ÷åíà â ïåðâóþ âåðñèþ Kinect èç-çà ñíèæåííîãî â óãîäó öåíå ðàçðåøåíèÿ êàìåð. Ñ äðóãîé ñòîðîíû, Microsoft íå îòêàçûâàåòñÿ îò èñïîëüçîâàíèÿ ïàòåíòà â íî áóäåò ëè ýòî óëó÷øåííàÿ âåðñèÿ Kinect èëè îòäåëüíûé ïðîäóêò, ïîêà íåèçâåñòíî.

Êîìïàíèÿ òàêæå ïðåäñòàâèëà ëèíåéêó ñòàðòîâûõ ïðîåêòîâ äëÿ Kinect.  íåå âîøëà èãðà ïî ìîòèâàì Star Wars îò LucasArts, íîâàÿ ãîíî÷íàÿ èãðà ñ åæîì Ñîíèêîì Sonic Free Riders, ïðîåêò îò Disney ïîä íàçâàíèåì Disneyland Adventures, è òàíöåâàëüíûé ñèìóëÿòîð Dance Central îò MTV Games. Êðîìå òîãî, ïîêóïàòåëÿì ïðåäëîæàò ñïîðòèâíûé ñáîðíèê Kinect Sports (áîêñ, áîóëèíã, ïëÿæíûé âîëåéáîë, íàñòîëüíûé òåííèñ, ôóòáîë è ëåãêàÿ àòëåòèêà), àðêàäó Kinect Adventures êîòîðàÿ âõîäèò â êîìïëåêò ñ êîíòðîëëåðîì (â êîìïëåêòå Kinect, Xbox 360 è èãðà Kinect Adventures), ñèìóëÿòîð óõîäà çà ïèòîìöåì Kinectimals è ãîíî÷íóþ àðêàäó Joy Ride. Âëàäåëüöàì Xbox 360 òàêæå îáåùàþò íîâûé âèäåî÷àò ïîä íàçâàíèåì "Âèäåî ñåàíñ Kinect". [1].

Èãðà Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I ÷àñòè÷íî àäàïòèðîâàíà ïîä Kinect (ÿâëÿåòñÿ îòäåëüíûì ðåæèìîì, à â îäèíî÷íîé èãðå ìîæíî ïîëüçîâàòüñÿ òîëüêî ãåéìïàäîì). Òàêæå, íà «Èãðîìèðå 2010» ñòàëî èçâåñòíî, ÷òî ðàçðàáîò÷èêè óæå íà÷àëè àäàïòèðîâàòü Call of Duty ïîä Kinect.[10]

Â ÑØÀ êîìïëåêò ñòîèò 149 äîëëàðîâ.  Ðîññèè æå çà âäâîå áîëüøóþ öåíó (7990 ðóáëåé).  êîìïëåêòå ïðèñóòñòâóåò:
- ñàì àïïàðàò,
- êàáåëü ïèòàíèÿ,
- ðóêîâîäñòâî ïîëüçîâàòåëÿ,
- èãðà (Kinect Adventures).[11]
Òàêæå Microsoft âûïóñòèëà êîìïëåêòû Kinect ñ íîâûìè ïðèñòàâêàìè Xbox 360 Slim.
[ïðàâèòü] Èñòîðèÿ ïðîåêòà
Ïðîåêò Natal îñíîâàí íà ïðîãðàììíîì îáåñïå÷åíèè ðàçðàáîòàííîì êîðïîðàöèåé «Ìàéêðîñîôò» è âåá-êàìåðû ZCam âûïóùåííîé â 2000 ã. ôèðìîé 3DV Systems[12][13]. ZCam ÿâëÿåòñÿ ðàçíîâèäíîñòüþ TOF-êàìåðû (âðåìÿïðîëåòíàÿ êàìåðà), ïîçâîëÿþùåé ïîëó÷àòü òð¸õìåðíóþ âèäåî èíôîðìàöèþ[14].
Íàçâàíèå ïðîåêò "Natal" ñëåäóåò òðàäèöèè êîðïîðàöèè «Ìàéêðîñîôò» èñïîëüçîâàòü íàçâàíèÿ ãîðîäîâ â êà÷åñòâå êîäîâûõ èìåí[2]. Äèðåêòîð ïðîåêòà Àëåêñ Êèïìàí âûáðàë íàçâàíèå áðàçèëüñêîãî ãîðîäà Íàòàë ÷òîáû ïî÷òèòü ñòðàíó ñâîåãî ïðîèñõîæäåíèÿ è ïîòîìó, ÷òî ñëîâî natal ñâÿçàíî ñ ðîæäåíèåì, òàê êàê Êèïìàí ñ÷èòàë, ÷òî ïðîåêò óâåëè÷èò ÷èñëî ïîëüçîâàòåëåé Xbox 360[15].
Ïåðåä E3 2010, 25 ìàðòà 2010 êîðïîðàöèÿ «Ìàéêðîñîôò» ðàçîñëàëà ïðèãëàøåíèÿ íà ìèðîâóþ ïðåìüåðó ïðîåêòà «Natal» êîòîðàÿ ïðîøëà 13 èþíÿ â öåíòðå «Ãàëåí» (àíãë. Galen Center)[16].
14 èþíÿ 2010 ïðîåêò «Natal» áûë ïåðåèìåíîâàí â Kinect[1].
16 èþíÿ 2011 ãîäà Microsoft îáúÿâèëà î âûïóñêå íîâîãî óñòðîéñòâà Kinect for Windows, à òàêæå íîâîãî SDK beta. Êîììåð÷åñêàÿ âåðñèÿ Kinect SDK áûëà âûïóùåíà 1 ôåâðàëÿ 2012 ãîäà. Ñ ýòîãî ìîìåíòà îöåíèòü âñå ïðåèìóùåñòâà íîâîãî êîíòðîëëåðà ñìîãëè íå òîëüêî îáëàäàòåëè Xbox 360, íî è ïîëüçîâàòåëè îáû÷íûõ ÏÊ ïîä óïðàâëåíèåì Windows.
